Wolfgang Puck Receives James Beard Award

Congratulations to Wolfgang Puck, the world-renowned head chef, restaurateur and businessman, who received the 2012 James Beard Foundation Lifetime Achievement Award! Puck has no less than 18 brand name restaurants, some with multiple locations, worldwide. In 2007, he opened The Source (575 Pennsylvania Avenue), his first fine dining restaurant in DC, at the Newseum (555 Pennsylvania Avenue). The prestigious James Beard Award is dubbed “The Oscars of the food world” and covers all aspects of the industry—from chefs and restaurateurs to cookbook authors and food journalists to restaurant designers and architects and more. Puck and other winners were feted at an annual Awards Ceremony and Gala Reception in New York City on May 7.
