If you missed the January issue of Washingtonian magazine, chances are you passed up the opportunity to glimpse the 100 Very Best Restaurants list, a guide to the finest dining in the Washington metropolitan area. Downtown BID-area restaurants accounted for a fifth of the total, which were unranked, save for those singled out for The Top Ten. And three Downtown restaurants made the cut: Minibar (405 8th Street), Rasika (633 D Street), and Fiola (601 Pennsylvania Avenue)—which ranked fourth, seventh and eighth, respectively. All received three-and-a-half stars, placing them between “excellent” and “exceptional.”
Others making the 100 Very Best Restaurants list:
• Adour, in the St. Regis Hotel (923 16th Street), three stars
• Bibiana (1100 New York Avenue), three stars
• Bistro Bis, in the Hotel George (15 E Street), two-and-a-half stars—between “very good” and “excellent”
