Director of Homeless Services

The Director of Homeless Services leads the DowntownDC Business Improvement District’s (BID)’s strategic efforts to support individuals experiencing homelessness in Downtown D.C. and serves as a leader for public and private stakeholders and partners related to human services. This full-time position oversees the operations and staff of the Downtown Day Services Center (DDSC) and coordinates a comprehensive array of services in collaboration with key partners and contractors including street outreach services.

Facilities Assistant

The Facilities Assistant will cooperate and work closely with the Downtown Day Services Center team and the Director of Homeless Services. The Facilities Assistant will support the Operations Manager in ensuring a welcoming, safe, and clean environment for all consumers. This includes assisting with daily operations, performing routine maintenance, and addressing any facility-related issues promptly to maintain optimal conditions.

Safety and Maintenance Ambassador

The DowntownDC BID is looking for Full-Time or Part-Time Safety & Maintenance Ambassadors (SAMs). The Safety & Maintenance Ambassadors are expected to greet and welcome visitors to Downtown DC areas, and parks and provide guests with services and relevant information when appropriate. They will also serve as “eyes and ears” and help ensure a safer, hospitable, more orderly environment. and a welcoming environment in Downtown DC.
