“The King of Trash” Documentary Pre-Screening and Community Reception
About The Event
Before the world sees it, The King of Trash comes to Washington, DC for an exclusive private pre-screening at the United States Navy Memorial.
On Thursday, June 11, from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., join collaborators, partners, community leaders, and friends for a meaningful red-carpet screening experience and community reception. More than a film premiere, it is a celebration of a family’s journey defined by resilience, sacrifice, and perseverance.
The King of Trash is a 72-minute documentary chronicling the journey of a Vietnamese refugee family who arrived in the United States with little and went on to build one of Northern California’s most recognized environmental services companies. Beyond a business success story, the film explores themes of perseverance, entrepreneurship, and the immigrant experience, offering a powerful reflection on resilience and the American Dream.
