DowntownDC Holiday Skate Spectacular

The DowntownDC Holiday Skate Spectacular Will Return for the Holidays in Late 2025!

Join us for the DowntownDC Holiday Skate Spectacular in partnership with the National Building Museum presented by Events DC! From December 16, 2024 – January 4, 2025, experience a FREE in indoor synthetic ice rink set in the National Building Museum’s Great Hall, from 12:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. The DowntownDC Holiday Skate Spectacular will be closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Skating is free for everyone so bring your skates! Don’t have any skates? No problem. There is $5 rental fee. Skate sizes and availability vary. There will be special skating sessions for young children to ensure that skaters of all ages can join in the excitement. Be there for special guest appearances, food, and family fun activities.

PLEASE NOTE: A signed waiver is required to participate. Waivers will be available to sign on-site at the National Building Museum.

• 12:00 p.m. – 1:45 p.m.: Toddler Skate
• 2:00 p.m. – 3:45 p.m.: Family Skate
• 4:00 p.m. – 5:45 p.m.: Family Skate
• 6:00 p.m. – 7:45 p.m.: Theme Skate (see Theme schedule below)

PLEASE NOTE

• On December 19, Skate Spectacular will be open ONLY between 2:00 p.m. – 3:45 p.m. on for children, teens, their families, adults, and more. At 3:45 p.m., Skate Spectacular will close for a private event.
• On December 28, Family Skate 2 session will be held from 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

As a reminder, registration and tickets are required to attend the DowntownDC Holiday Skate Spectacular, but there is no cost for admission. Please do not purchase or pay for tickets from any third parties or unofficial sources, as they are not valid for this event.
