About The Event
On March 28, from 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM, the National Mall sky fills with color at the Blossom Kite Festival. With kite flying, music, lively competitions, and interactive activities, the Washington Monument Grounds come alive with spring energy and DC vibrancy. A lineup of Taiko drummers will also take the stage at the Sylvan Theatre from 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM, adding to the festive atmosphere.
This year, DowntownDC BID is joining the celebration by flying our own kite across the sky. Whether you’re a kite beginner, enthusiast, or coming with family and friends, everyone is welcome. Mark your calendar and stay tuned — follow us on Instagram for a chance to score a free kite and join us at the festival.
