About The Event

Celebrate Black History Month at the Portrait Gallery with a series of Young Portrait Explorers.

Join their virtual workshops for children ages 3-6 and their adult companions to learn about art, history, and more! Every Wednesday in February, Portrait Gallery educators will lead a 30-minute program that incorporates close looking at portraiture, movement and art-making. Please find the schedule of the virtual workshops below, and register using the green button above.

Participants will appear onscreen during the Zoom meeting if they choose. Cameras may be turned off if preferred. Adults must remain with children throughout the program.

The Zoom link will be emailed to registered participants 12-24 hours in advance of the program. The email will come from Eventbrite. Please only register once per household. Adults do not need to register separately from children. We will only be allowing participants into the meeting if the accompanying adult’s name is on the registration list.
