“We Who Believe in Freedom: Black Feminist DC” Exhibit
About The Event
“We Who Believe in Freedom: Black Feminist DC,” the National Womenâs History Museum’s first physical exhibit, will be at the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library, where attendees can trace Black feminism in Washington, D.C., from the turn of the 20th century through the civil rights and Black Power movements to today. The exhibit examines the voices and stories of more than a dozen trailblazing women, from the early Black feminism of the âJane Crowâ era to the future of Black feminism.
The exhibit, which will run through September 2024, is open to the public and free.
