About The Event

This spring concert features Leonard Bernstein’s dynamic Chichester Psalms, as well as settings by Bobby McFerrin and Herb Mahelona, composer of the first Hawaiian-language oratorio, Kinohi. Psalms tell stories of hope, anger, sadness, and joy, which you will hear across works from Gwyneth Walker’s Songs of Ecstasy to Bernstein’s raucous setting of Why Do the Nations Rage.
