THE 44TH ANNUAL HOOP CULTURE CAPITAL CLASSIC PRESENTED BY MONSTER PRODUCTS
About The Event
Hoop Cultureand Monster Products proudly present the most legendary high school All-American game in the country, the 44th Annual Capital Classic. The event will make its return to Verizon Center on Saturday, April 8, 2017. The Capital Classic will feature a pair of star-studded contests. The first game will match the Suburban All-Stars against the District All-Stars at 11:00am, followed by the Capital All-Americans against the United States All-Americans at 1:00pm. Teams are scheduled to be announced in early 2017.
The Capital Classic is the first and longest running high school basketball All-American game in the country. It has been a beacon in the Washington, DC community, showcasing some of the nationâs top high school basketball talent. The game has become a steppingstone for many college All-Americans, NBA All-Stars and Basketball Hall of Fame recipients including Moses Malone, Magic Johnson, Ralph Sampson, Dominique Wilkins, Michael Jordan, Patrick Ewing, Grant Hill, Jason Kidd, Carmelo Anthony, LeBron James, Chris Paul, Dwight Howard and Klay Thompson.
