Relax and Take 5! with free, live jazz in the Kogod Courtyard as the Michael Thomas Quintet celebrates legendary trumpeter Lee Morgan’s 80th birthday. The longtime Washington-based Michael Thomas Quintet features trumpeter Michael Thomas, tenor Zach Graddy, pianist Darius Scott, contrabassist Kent Miller, and drummer Frank T. Williams IV. With power and energy, they honor the hard bop traditions of Morgan and his masterful abilities on the trumpet. Be sure to stop by the Courtyard Café for refreshments, and borrow a board game to play during the concert.
