Take 5: Jazz at SAAM with Different Drummers
About The Event
On Thursday, June 12 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., celebrate a uniquely American art form with Take 5: Jazz at SAAM, a series of free, live performances in the Kogod Courtyard.
DCâs Different Drummers, an LGBTQ+ non-profit music organization, brings their DCDD Jazz Band, a 23-piece big band and a small improvisational combo called 2nd Independence, to perform a selection of jazz arrangements of popular Pride anthems, past and present. Borrow a board game to play during the concert and stop by the Courtyard CafĂ© to purchase refreshments.
