About The Event

Visit the Smithsonian’s National Portrait Gallery for one their five Strike A Prose Workshop Series. Each workshop will examine how dialogue offers views into the thinking of a character and allows audiences to feel immersed in a subject’s world.

Workshops in This Series Include:
– I’m Talking Freedom, Tuesday, August 6, 2019, 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM
– In This America, Wednesday, August 7, 2019, 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM
– The Me I Want to Sing, Tuesday, August 13, 2019, 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM
– When I’m Alone, Wednesday, August 14, 2019, 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM

Led by local playwright Thomas K. Minter, these workshops are open to writers of all levels who are 18+. Materials are provided.

Please plan to arrive at the 8th and G Street, NW entrance at 9:45 AM so we may begin promptly at 10:00 AM. Because this workshop begins prior to public hours, those more than 15 minutes late will not be admitted into the museum.

Registration is required at npg.eventbrite.com
