About The Event
The 2026 Snail of Approval Awards recognizes chefs, producers, farmers, and food and beverage businesses in D.C., Maryland, and Virginia who embody Slow Food’s values of good, clean, and fair food for all. Our grassroots award celebrates those who care for the environment, support local communities, and create food with integrity and purpose. Join Slow Food DC for an evening of recognition, community, and seriously good (local) food as we honor this year’s Snail of Approval awardees!
Each ticket includes:
- A variety of special Turkish dishes at our buffet-style dinner catered by Dolmama of Takoma Park
- One drink ticket to choose from Little Penn’s selection of craft beers, kombucha, and non-alcoholic beverages
- Access to the Slow Food silent auction, which includes donations from amazing local businesses across the DMV
- A donation to support the ongoing work of Slow Food DC
Doors open at 6PM. Welcome presentation and awards start at 6:30PM to 6:45PM.
