Sightlines Saturday Guided Tour and Activity: Love Letters
About The Event
Experience Sightlines: Chinatown and Beyond at the Smithsonian American Art Museum, an exhibition exploring the historical, cultural, and creative connections of Asian Americans to Washington, D.C. As part of Sightlines Saturdays, a monthly in-gallery program, visitors are invited to engage more deeply with the exhibition through guided tours and interactive activities.
This monthâs program, Love Letters, offers an opportunity to reflect on the role of public art and community storytelling. A guided tour of Sightlines will take place at noon, followed by a hands-on activity from 1â3 p.m., where participants can explore local murals and create their own love letters to the communities that inspire them. Presented by the Smithsonian Asian Pacific American Center, the event will be held on the first floor of the museum, with guests meeting in the G Street Lobby.
