“The Wind We Cannot See” Exhibit
About The Event
In her first solo exhibition at Touchstone Gallery, Sharon Malley presents paintings that evoke her deep reverence for and connection to the forces of nature, manifested in movements of air. “The Wind We Cannot See” features 19 paintings and mixed media pieces created with oil, collage, and cold wax.
“The wind can be fierce and graceful, sublime, and holy,” Malley says. “In some cultures, wind is the divine fount of all things. It is our first breath, the source of earth’s weather, and yet elusive, transient, and intangible. A question for our times: as humans, how much wind can we take?”
The opening reception will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 4, and a meet-the-artist event will be from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 19.
