About The Event

The Folger Shakespeare Library is celebrating Shakespeare and the 400th anniversary of the printing of the First Folio the entire month of April. In partnership with DC Public Library, there will be a citywide festival that’s free and open to all and includes an exhibition, a world-premier play, a District-wide scavenger hunt, Shakespeare’s birthday lecture, family programs, workshops, and more at DC library locations in all eight wards.
