Celebrate the life, career, and centennial birth anniversary of the legendary Ms. Ruby Dee with live testimonials, staged readings, video clips, film screenings, awards, and special guests at the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library.

The DC Connection: Highlights of Ms. Dee’s career and work in the District of Columbia
With special guests, live performances, and a screening of Letter to Booker T, shot in D.C.

Monday, March 13
Ruby Dee as screenwriter and producer
With live performances, special guests, and a screening of Uptight, co-written by Ruby Dee

Monday, March 20
Calling All Women! Ruby Dee and the Delta Sigma Theta Connection
Screening of Countdown at Kusini with Special guest filmmaker S. Torriano Berry and representative of Delta Sigma Theta

Each program will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
