On December 7, 2024, Mayor Muriel Bowser proclaimed the official grand opening of the National Mistletoe, adding a dazzling new holiday charm to Downtown D.C. The stunning 10-foot-wide art sculpture shines bright, capturing hearts and sparking smiles on visitorsâ faces. Designed as a first-of-its-kind aerial art installation by multi-disciplinarian artist My Ly, the National Mistletoe transforms the plaza into a haven of festive romance and joyful connections, making every moment captured under its canopy unforgettable.
