About The Event

This documentary by Academy Award–winning filmmaker Pamela Tanner Boll features five fierce women who refuse to choose between motherhood and art. The film invites us to consider the role of women in art, from cultural muses in the ancient world to under-representation of female artists in museums. Sybil E. Gohari, professor of art history at American University, and director Pamela Tanner Boll lead a post-film discussion. Directed by Pamela Tanner Boll (73 mins; 2008).
