About The Event

In the final installment of the Sissi trilogy, Sissi is crowned Queen of Hungary while her separation from Franz Joseph brings unwanted suitors. Eventually, Sissi and Franz Joseph travel to Bad Ischl to relax, but on the way Sissi becomes seriously ill and instead travels to Madeira in hopes of finding a more recuperative climate. Meanwhile, tensions rise in northern Italy as the people dream of independence from Austrian control. (1957, English with German subtitles)
