
Lincoln Oratory Festival
About The Event
Join Ford’s Theatre for the Lincoln Oratory Festival, 10:00 a.m. to noon on Tuesday and Wednesday, February 7 through 8. In honor of Abraham Lincoln’s birthday, students from third- through eighth-grade classrooms across the metro D.C. area perform a selection of his most historic speeches on the Ford’s Theatre stage. Come hear Lincoln’s memorable words and leave feeling inspired!
The February 7 performance will feature third- through fifth-grade students from D.C.’s Two Rivers Public Charter School, Ben W. Murch Elementary School, Ludlow-Taylor Elementary School, Garrison Elementary School, Bridges Public Charter School, and Kimball Elementary, Maryland’s Robert R. Gray Elementary School and Virginia’s Glebe Elementary School. The February 8 performance will feature sixth- through eighth-grade students from D.C.’s Alice Deal Middle School and Two Rivers Public Charter School, Maryland’s Kenmoor Middle School and Virginia’s Fairhill Elementary School, Mosaic Elementary School, and Francis C. Hammond Middle School.
Tickets are free and available online and at the theater’s box office each day of the festival.
