About The Event
Join the Krewe of Pyros for their Inaugural Mardi Gras Parade on Saturday, January 31, 2026, marking 10 years of bringing culture, color, and FIYAH to the nation’s capital. Watch the DowntowDC BID Team march alongside vibrant floats, marching bands, and brass bands from DC and Louisiana. It’s a vibrant cultural celebration bringing the spirit of Mardi Gras to the heart of Downtown DC.
After the parade, keep the celebration going at the Post-parade Party at Anthem Row. Dance to the city sounds of Rufus Roundtree & the B’More Brass Factory and New Orleans’ own DJ Raj Smoove, enjoy light bites, and mingle throughout the afternoon with colorful, interactive activations that keep the carnival energy alive. Parade Route
Starting at Chinatown Park (6th & I Street NW), the parade marches down 7th Street, bringing Downtown to life with bold colors, lively floats, and high-energy marching units.
