About The Event

To kick off the DC Public Library’s Banned Books Week, join the Library, PEN/America, and the Bertelsmann Foundation for a special screening of Carol Anderson’s documentary I, Too and discussion of what stories we tell (and don’t tell) about our history. In conversation with Nadine Farid Johnson of PEN/America, Anderson will explore the full meaning of the events of January 6, 2021 as a predictable coda to two centuries of American mythology.
