About The Event

On March 28, step into the whimsical world of The Grand Budapest Hotel at the National Building Museum’s Great Movies in the Great Hall series. Wes Anderson’s visually stunning tale, set in 1930s Europe, follows a hotel manager navigating a rapidly changing world amid the rise of totalitarianism. Before the screening, film critic Pat Finn will explore Anderson’s signature visual style and the themes of aesthetics and the humanizing virtues of a curated life.

Bring your own food, blanket, or lawn chair and enjoy a picnic-style experience inside the stunning Great Hall. No outside alcohol is permitted, but popcorn, drinks, beer, and wine will be available for purchase.
