About The Event
On March 8, Celebrate the timeless magic of Disney’s Sleeping Beauty, originally released on January 29, 1959, at the National Building Museum’s Great Movies in the Great Hall series. This landmark film, the 16th animated feature from Disney, introduced a groundbreaking artistic style that drew inspiration from medieval art and architecture.
Program Schedule:
- Doors Open at 6:00 p.m.
- Presentation by Meredith Cohen at 6:30 p.m.
- Intermission at 6:45 p.m.
- Movie Starts at 7:00 p.m.
- Program Ends at 8:30 p.m.
Bring your own food, blanket, or lawn chair and enjoy a picnic-style experience inside the stunning Great Hall. No outside alcohol is permitted, but popcorn, drinks, beer, and wine will be available for purchase.
