Experience the power and passion of Dance Theatre of Harlem as the company returns to Washington Performing Arts with a bold revival of Firebird on Friday, September 25, and Saturday, September 26.
Reimagining the classic tale of love and transformation, this iconic play transports the Russian folk tale to a lush Caribbean setting. Set to Stravinsky’s iconic score and choreographed by John Taras, the production comes to life through Geoffrey Holder’s stunning sets and costumes.
This exclusive DC engagement continues a 50-year history of collaboration between Washington Performing Arts and Dance Theatre of Harlem, first established in 1973.
