About The Event
The most sensational way to experience a countryâs culture is through its cuisine. On Wednesday, May 24, 2017, join more than 20 embassies representing regions such as South America, Asia, Europe, Africa, and the Caribbean for the 9th Annual Events DC Embassy Chef Challenge presented by the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center.
Washington, DC is home to more than 170 embassies from around the world and the Events DC Embassy Chef Challenge is the only event in the DMV where you can sample authentic drinks and dishes prepared by chefs of the United Statesâ international ambassadors. These chefs are bringing their best dishes as they compete for the Peopleâs Choice and Judges Choice awards.
At the sold out, 2016 Events DC Embassy Chef Challenge, the evening commenced with a tasting of British Virgin Islandsâ rum-infused âPainkillerâ cocktail along with sips of Guatemalan Gazpacho del Enchilada and hors dâoeuvres as diverse as the Czech Republicâs bacon wrapped duck pate, and Ghanaian black-eyed pea and shrimp fritters.
