Every Tuesday in June at sunset, Freedom Plaza (13th & Pennsylvania) will be transformed into an outdoor movie theater featuring CAN I KICK IT? – a multimedia movie screening engagement brought to you by the DowntownDC Business Improvement District (BID) and produced by SHAOLIN JAZZ. Each event features a classic (or cult contemporary classic) martial arts film that is scored with an original music soundtrack of hip hop, soul, and more mixed live by DJ 2-Tone Jones.

Come early to snag prime seating, see a martial arts demo, groove to a live DJ set, play outdoor games provided by the DC Department of Parks and Recreation and win DowntownDC swag. Complimentary popcorn will be available, while supplies last, from Pret A Manger. 

Bring your own seating. Films will start promptly at 8:30 PM, where audiences will be treated to cult classics: Karate Kid, Rumble in the Bronx; Golden Child; Kung Fu Hustle; Romeo Must Die and Blood Sport.
