About The Event

The DowntownDC BID is working to create safe and accessible streets with dynamic and comfortable walking spaces, known as the DowntownDC Pedestrian Safety and Experience Study. You are essential to our vision, and we need your input.

Please join us virtually on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, from 6:30 pm to 7:45 pm to discuss your experience walking in the DowntownDC area and to help us identify and prioritize project areas to improve the comfort and safety of walking downtown. The meeting will allow you to share your experience and priorities and learn more about the DowntownDC Pedestrian Safety and Experience Study.

This study will result in implementing three “quick-win” pilot projects downtown designed to improve the walkability of the neighborhood while also demonstrating the potential of a more walkable downtown. Demonstration projects are scheduled to be implemented in late spring 2023 and conclude in late summer 2023. Toole Design Group is leading the study on behalf of the BID.
