About The Event
Spread hope, share kindness, and connect with the community at the Downtown Day Services Center Summer Community Engagement Event. In partnership with the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD), the DowntownDC Business Improvement District (BID) invites you to spend the morning learning more about the Downtown Day Services Center (DDSC) and the collective efforts to support Downtown DC’s unhoused community.
On Friday, June 12, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., stop by the Downtown Day Services Center to enjoy light bites and refreshments, get to know the DDSC staff and local organizations, and learn more about the DowntownDC BID’s mission to create a more welcoming and supportive Downtown for all.
The event will feature remarks from Ishan Heru, Director of Homeless Services, DowntownDC BID, along with community resource tables from HIPS, Pathways to Housing DC, h3 Project, and DowntownDC Foundation.
