About The Event
The annual DC Wave Festival is a free, one-day celebratory event for the community, offering a terrific lineup of events and activities for all ages at Franklin Park.
Hosted by the membership of Blackberry Acres, LLC, in partnership with Network of Support, this event aims to promote healthy lifestyles and awareness of holistic services and support at an all-inclusive site. Attendees can learn what community services and assistance are available for District residents experiencing hardships.
Get ready to immerse yourself in a kaleidoscope of entertainment, community services, food, and engaging workshops. With something for everyone, visitors can expect music from DJ E-Man SZN and MPD’s SIDEbySIDE band.
Free services include:
- Dental cleaning
- Housing journey counseling
- Health assessments
- Mental health screenings
- Work readiness programs
- VIDA fitness classes
- Family-friendly games
- Back-to-school book bags and supplies — provided by Coca-Cola Consolidated and the DowntownDC Foundation
