Get ready for an epic battle of words as local competitors go head-to-head, sparring with their stories in a respectful showdown rooted in DC’s Asian martial arts history. Through powerful storytelling and community voices, this event brings to life the traditions, struggles, and triumphs of martial artists who helped shape the city’s cultural landscape.

This program is presented in conjunction with Sightlines: Chinatown and Beyond, an exhibition from the Smithsonian Asian Pacific American Center that explores the stories of Chinatown and its surrounding communities.
