About The Event

CineMatsuri 2017 is the fourth year of CineMatsuri, Washington DC’s first-ever Japanese film festival. Organized by the Japan-America Society of Washington DC, CineMatsuri showcases five of Japan’s most recent and best films, each in a different genre, reflecting the richness and diversity of today’s Japanese cinema. Our diverse selection committee picks films that appeal to all audiences – whatever you’re looking for, chances are that CineMatsuri has it! Come experience a whole new world of films. All movies are shown in Japanese with English subtitles.
