About The Event

Learn about Chinese history and traditional artform through the Chinese Calligraphy Workshop, joyful cultural exchange presented by the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China and the Jiangsu Academy of Chinese Painting. On February 20, after a brief introduction to Chinese “Fu” calligraphy, guest artists will demonstrate painting the traditional Chinese phrases and blessings used when celebrating the Lunar New Year. Complimentary materials will be provided to those who wish to try their hand at creating their own unique takeaway.
