Grieg’s evocative vignettes for piano lead to a 2014 solo violin work by esteemed violinist-composer Montgomery. Still’s duo suite, based on African-American sculptures, overflows with spirit, and Prokofiev’s dark sonata serves as a memorial to lives lost.
