Capital Jewish Food Festival

About The Event

Enjoy a wide variety of foods from local restaurants while learning about DC’s Jewish culinary scene and engaging with organizations fighting for food justice and sustainability. Highlights include tasting samples, cooking demonstrations, interactive workshops, headline speaker Michael Twitty, and more.

Why a Jewish Food Festival?

The inaugural Capital Jewish Food Festival is an exploration of food as an expression of identity, tradition, and community, and is inspired by the fall harvest festival of Sukkot. The Festival encourages attendees to reflect on how their food habits impact the world around them, and inspires them to make positive changes for their community, from sustainable practices to fighting food insecurity.
