About The Event

Book artist, painter, and author Audrey Niffenegger presents NMWA’s annual Book Arts Lecture, examining ways that libraries have influenced her art and writing. The physical presence of books has always been a source of inspiration for Niffenegger, whether assembling her own library, imagining fictional ones, or creating books herself. Niffenegger’s artists’ books include The Three Incestuous Sisters (2005), The Adventuress (2006), Raven Girl (2013) and Bizarre Romance (with graphic artist Eddie Campbell, 2018). She also captured readers’ imaginations with her first novel, The Time Traveler’s Wife (2003) and Her Fearful Symmetry (2009). Free. Space is limited; reservations recommended. Reserve online.
