About The Event
The Art at the Center Tour returns to the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, inviting visitors to explore one of the nation’s best-kept secrets. From February 3 to November 10, discover the largest public art collection in Washington, DC outside of any museum. Beyond being a state-of-the-art convention center, the building is home to 137 works by 93 artists. This free, hour-long tour highlights a curated selection of artworks throughout the space.
2026 Tour Dates:
- February 3, 2026 – “Spotlight: Found Objects and Recycled Materials in Contemporary Art.”
- June 9, 2026 – “Spotlight: Around the World Inside Washington”
- July 28, 2026 – “Spotlight: After Abstract Expressionism”
- November 10, 2026 – “Spotlight: Indigenous History in Contemporary American Art”
