About The Event

Revel in the solstice at this year’s America Now, when three of your favorite museums unite for an after-hours festival of Americana. Enjoy the extra daylight at a mid-summer moveable feast celebrating the best of art and history in DC. Gather for happy hour at the National Museum of American History from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m., then hop on the pedi-cab procession to continue the night at SAAM and National Portrait Gallery for a block party and beer garden. A live concert at 9:30 p.m. closes out an unforgettable evening in the Kogod Courtyard. Admission is free, festive food and drinks available for purchase.

America Now is a three-museum collaboration between the National Portrait Gallery, the National Museum of American History, and the Smithsonian American Art Museum and is made possible by the generous support of the Robert and Arlene Kogod Family Foundation.

This year’s celebration is part of a Smithsonian-wide collaboration Solstice Saturday.
