About The Event
Enjoy After-Hours Ice Cream + PJ Party at the National Children’s Museum on July 31, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Treat yourself to an evening of ice cream, after-hours access to the museum’s interactive exhibits, and special STEAM-inspired programs. Don’t forget to wear your favorite pajamas because who says learning adventures can’t be comfortable?
Make your evening a good cause by supporting the PJ drive, contributed by the Casey Cares Foundation. Bring a new pair of pajamas with retail tags attached to the PJ Drive. Each participating group will receive one complimentary event ticket with their donation.
Special programming:
- 🖍️ Secret Message Doodles: Peer through a colored lens to reveal an image invisible to the naked eye. The trick lies in color science: when the lenses and background colors are the right shade the pattern vanishes, allowing your hidden doodle to appear.
- 🍦 “Ice Cream” Slime Making: Explore chemical reactions to mix a fluffy ice cream scented soft serve slime that smells like your favorite ice cream flavor. Mix in “sprinkles” and top with a cherry. Not safe to eat so keep in the play zone.
