About The Event

The Smithsonian Asian Pacific American Center and the Chinese Youth Club bring 9-man volleyball to the steps of the Smithsonian American Art Museum as part of Open Streets DC! Come watch teams from the Chinese Youth Club play scrimmages in the traditional Chinese 9-Man format–then visit the exhibition, Sightlines: Chinatown and Beyond, to learn more about the sport’s important role in Asian American culture. The Sightlines exhibition, presented by the Smithsonian Asian Pacific American Center, is on view on the first floor of the Smithsonian American Art Museum.
