About The Event

Join the Smithsonian American Art Museum for a guided exploration of Sightlines, a compelling exhibition that reimagines how we see place, memory, and belonging through the lens of maps and monuments. Discover the stories behind the lines we draw—both on paper and in our lives—as you move through powerful visuals and layered histories.

Then, dive into your own creativity with a hands-on art activity, where you’ll craft a personal piece inspired by the landmarks and journeys that shape your world. It’s an invitation to reflect, imagine, and chart your own path.
