About The Event
This day of meaningful connection and deep-dive workshops will offer practical tips and resources for creative entrepreneurs at all levels. Workshops are designed for entrepreneurs looking for guidance, interested in growing their networks, and hungry for new tools to help their creative endeavors thrive. Workshop presenters include Washington Area Lawyers for the Arts and others to be announced closer to the event.

The two-day MakeHER Summit will empower and celebrate creative women entrepreneurs in a dynamic mashup of the museumâs annual Makerâs Mart and the renowned Fresh Talk public programs series. Events include:
- MakeHER Mart, Sunday, October 27. Shop hand-crafted arts and merchandise of local women artists and artisans.
- Fresh Talk: Rooms of Her OwnâWomen, Art, and Ownership in the Hotel Industry Sunday, October 27. A panel conversation followed by a cocktail hour.
The 2019 MakeHER Summit is presented by the museumâs Women, Arts, and Social Change public program initiative.
