About The Event

Ford’s Theatre Society and the Abraham Lincoln Society are proud to announce the return of the free Abraham Lincoln Institute Symposium, dedicated to promoting the life, career and legacy of President Abraham Lincoln. After virtual symposiums over the past few years, they welcome a lineup of authors and experts in Abraham Lincoln literature to the theater this spring, including:

Terry Alford, author of In the Houses of Their Dead: The Lincoln, the Booths, and the Spirits
Fred L. Hord, co-editor of Knowing Him by Heart: African Americans on Abraham Lincoln
David J. Kent, author of Lincoln: The Fire of Genius: How Abraham Lincoln’s Commitment to Science and Technology Helped Modernize America
Jon Meacham, author of And There Was Light: Abraham Lincoln and the American Struggle
Diana Schaub, author of His Greatest Speeches: How Lincoln Moved the Nation
