Mark your calendar for April 23 to April 26 as the 2026 Smithsonian Craft Show returns to the National Building Museum, celebrating the finest in hand-crafted American artistry. Dive into a world of creativity and artisan with hundreds of exhibitors representing all facets of contemporary craft and design, including basketry, ceramics, decorative fiber, furniture, glass, jewelry, leather, metal, mixed media, paper, wearable art, and wood.
This year’s theme – American Artistry – shines through, with a highlight of the 2026 show being the presentation of the Smithsonian Visionary Award to ceramic artist Wayne Higby.
