The 2026 NCSS Cherry Blossom Gala is a signature event celebrating the crowning of the 2026 U.S. Cherry Blossom Queen and the introduction of the 2026 U.S. Cherry Blossom Delegate.
Join this special evening at the Capital Hilton Hotel on April 10, featuring music, dancing, and curated food stations. The program includes the official introduction of the 2026 Cherry Blossom Delegate and the crowning of the new U.S. Cherry Blossom Queen, who will receive the priceless MIKIMOTO Ceremonial Pearl Crown.
The Queen embarks on a goodwill trip to Japan, celebrating the enduring friendship between the United States and Japan. Hosted by the Japan Sakura Foundation, she visits Tokyo and meets with local dignitaries and national leaders. This year’s Queen also traveled to Shizuoka, home to the research laboratory that developed the cherry blossom trees surrounding the Tidal Basin.
