Get ready to experience Downtown D.C. after hours with Thursday Night Out, a free weekly series celebrating music, culture, and food. Every Thursday in September—from the 4th through the 25th—Downtown parks and plazas come alive from 5:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. with curated marketplaces, DJ-powered dance parties, and live art activations. Local restaurants are also joining the fun with special food and drink offerings, making it the perfect night to explore the city, connect with community, and dance the evening away. What to Expect Each Week
Thursday Night Out will feature activations at various Downtown D.C. locations each week, offering a mix of music, marketplaces, and live performances:
SEPTEMBER 4
- Chinatown Park (Massachusetts Ave. NW between 6th and 5th Streets NW): Extended Play DIY dance party DJ collective spins beats along a marketplace curated by SAMASAMA, celebrating BIPOC creatives.
- National Museum Building Lawn (401 F Street NW): Black Rave Culture brings immersive house, techno, dub, and baile funk music and performances.
SEPTEMBER 11
- National Museum Building Lawn (401 F Street NW): Church on Sunday, a Black electronic dance music collective, and Dreamcast.Moe, a genre-blurring DC-based musician and DJ, will perform on the lawn.
- Anthem Row (800 K Street NW): The Street Market Gallery by Home Court DMV and DriftersMD will pop-up highlighting streetwear, sneakers, and culture.
SEPTEMBER 18
- Anthem Row (800 K Street NW): A dance party featuring 140+ and Friends with Benefits, and a pop-up market with unique art, clothing, records, and home goods from Get Flee.
SEPTEMBER 25
- Anthem Row (800 K Street NW): Evolve Vintage queer-owned and gender-inclusive marketplace; Disco Loft vintage clothing shop; dance music from Flower Factory queer DJ collective and LGBTQ/BIPOC dance party The Dance Club; and roving drag queens to give guests their flowers.
