Holiday Spirit
If you missed the National Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony, here’s your chance to enjoy free holiday entertainment at the National Christmas Tree Music Program, part of the Pageant of Peace taking place on the Ellipse south of the White House. Against the backdrop of the National Christmas Tree, volunteer choirs, bands, and dancers, including local and national groups like the Washington Mennonite Chorus, the Blue Ridge Thunder Cloggers, Celebration Ringers and the Bowie Youth Chorus will be performing nightly from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm and weekends from 1:00 pm to 8:30 pm, through Thursday, December 23.
The National Park Service (NPS) and the National Park Foundation sponsor the annual tree lighting ceremony and music program. For more information, visit www.thenationaltree.org.
