It’s game time! The BB&T Classic is back. The buzzer will sound for the 16th annual college basketball tournament at 2:45 pm on Sunday, December 5, at the Verizon Center (601 F Street).
 
This year’s line-up is a triple play featuring the Maryland Terps, the George Washington Colonials and the American Eagles. Game time begins when American meets the Florida Gators. The US Naval Academy Midshipmen will face GW in the middle match, and the tournament concludes at 8:00 pm with Maryland battling the Temple Owls.
 
The event benefits the Children’s Charities Foundation (CCF). Founded in 1994 by Washington-area business and professional leaders, CCF has distributed more than $8.1 million to metropolitan Washington area charities.
